How does Crates make money?
I'd like to know how Crates makes money, since there doesn't seem to be any subscription or license available. Is it free forever? If so, why? How is it funded? How is the data used?

My best guess, since no one answered here:
- it could be hobby project, plus
- when you click "checkout" in your cart there is an affiliate parameter, so I assume beatport pays them each time when you buy tracks through crates.And since I also love crates, they should also be able to cover their costs :)
