Maybe it's because I'm old and my vision isn't what it used to be, but I don't think the playing track in the current list is distinct enough... looking for the pause icon over the album art is too hard to pick out, especially if you aren't looking at the screen while advancing through tracks. (Plus, sometimes the playing track is actually off screen because the scrolling doesn't catch up or match where it should be.) Can you highlight the whole role with some negative color so it's glaringly obvious where you are in the list?1 vote
Thanks for the feedback!
Currently the entire row goes orange if the track is playing (all the text goes orange). This way you can see what’s playing very easily across the whole table.
Does that help?
It would be great to be able to put together a playlist for a gig in a crate, in the order you may want to play the tracks in, and see if the tracks fit the way you want them to before checking out.
Also, it would be great to be able to sort by each column. Basically the rekordbox functions of sorting and drag/drop to reorder tracks.1 vote
Thanks for the feedback, Julia – we’ll definitely keep this in mind for future updates. :)
Add a Spotify search function similar to the YouTube one. I pay for Spotify and would love to hear a high resolution copy before buying.3 votes
Beatport Hype looks great, would be awesome to check it once in a while like "My Beatport" crate or "Inbox"1 vote
Beatport’s new API is coming soon so this will hopefully be something we can consider adding in the near future. :)
This feature used to work but now I cannot seem to get a link to share/collaborate a crate with friends.1 vote
I'm trying to get hard copies of 2000+ tracks from my spotify playlists, and searching for every track individually is proving extremely time-consuming. I'm currently trying to automate the search-and-add-to-cart workflow with UI automation like selenium, but it is error-prone and very fragile. It would be amazing if Crates.co could turn a CSV file into a populated shopping cart, by (A) searching for the track described in row X, (B) finding the best match for the given title/artist/duration, (C) add the track to my beatport shopping cart, and (D) provide a list of the tracks that couldn't be found or otherwise determined. Maybe with an options prefer Original mixes or Extended mixes, and checkboxes for requiring perfect matches for some fields (like Release/Album, duration, etc).
If this could directly connect to my spotify account, even better, but a file upload sounds like it would be easier to implement. And there are already ways to automatically create such a file corresponding to spotify playlists, using their web API.
Anyways, this would take all of the pain away from finding music to purchase, aside from the cost haha.
Thanks for your consideration!

Title says it all. Would be great to setup SSL/TLS and you can easily setup to auto-renew certs fairly easily. Better security on the web is always good.3 votes
https://crates.co/ works for us – are you having an issue accessing the site via https?
In Firefox on mac, when choosing which cart to add a track to, it has a little popup window with a list of the carts, and a sidebar to scroll down the list of carts, however when I'm adding tracks from near the bottom of the list, to a cart near the bottom of the list, I can't get the cart to show up.
The cart menu is partially obscured by bottom of browser window.
Love the site though. Thanks for the great work.1 vote
Thanks for the kind words and the bug report!
Can you send us a screenshot of the issue?
Hi community! For a long period of use of "my beatport", it became necessary to clean the list of favourits artists. It would be nice if each artist or label had two buttons plus and minus (increment + 1 and decrement -1), and then for some time it would be possible to analyze what artist or label without a rating, and remove unnecessary artists from the list. Sorry for bad english.1 vote

Thank you so much for building Crates....a lot of us DJs these days use Spotify to discover our music and build playlists. It would be really cool if a Spotify playlist link can be given to Crates and it creates a crate out of it . Add to that the option to buy everything on that crate, and boom - gig prep is done.3 votes
Crates.co has revolutionized my digging experience for digital music on beatport. I'm finding myself having to do parallel digging on bandcamp for a lot of non-beatport content though (an area growing more and more). I would love to see a crates for bandcamp—ideally it could show in my inbox feed, but even if it was a separate feed it would be huge. Right now the browsing experience for artists and labels I follow on Bandcamp is abysmal at best. I have to click in and out of releases and pages to hear the music, takes forever.7 votes
Thanks for the kind words Ben! We’d love to integrate with Band Camp, but they don’t have an API for their music catalog.
(Crates is powered by Beatport’s API. If BandCamp adds an API for their catalog, then we can explore integration with them as well.)
Perhaps highlight the search box a little more. On a few occasions i've had trouble spotting where it is!1 vote
Ability to filter by genres (to see as many as all, as little as one genre at a time), via checkbox toggle or other similar method of changing selection.1 vote
It would be great to have a view where all the charts for your favourite artists are listed by release date. This means you can keep an eye on new chart releases across all your followed artists, something which should be possible but neither beatport or crates allows.3 votes
This is a feature we’d love to add, but we’re limited by Beatport itself — they don’t give us the option to do this yet. We hope in the future it’s possible. :)
Every now and then, there are releases with a lot of tracks in it that I want to erase from my feed as a whole without having to listen to them in order to "check" them.
A similar thing is missing for labels. Some labels should not appear in a feed even if a crate's artist appears on them.
It would be good to have a button available when hovering over a release or label (in the same window as the crates) that will add this to a blacklist.2 votes
We’re planning on adding a “Mute” feature in the future for labels or artists.
While this wouldn’t allow you to hide a specific release, it would allow you to hide tracks by an entire label or artist.
First of all, thank you so much for this awesome tool! I really enjoy discovering new releases and I couldn't imagine going back to plain Beatport.
Now I noticed that after pressing the "Delete Cart" button, all of those carts pop up in the list - usually the day after. I accidentally created lots of them and now I only use like half of them.
Is there any chance to make them disappear?3 votes
Nils, could you check if these Carts you tried to delete are actually removed on the main Beatport site? Sounds like it might be a bug with Beatport.
Does this only happen to certain carts?
For example, uploading a CSV with the relevant metadata that then persists so you can only see tracks you haven't listened to. Ability to combine this with the other filters too.5 votes
