Support for Beatport playlists
What's the possibility of supporting beatport playlists that can be used with beatport link? Unfortunately you can't access carts via Link so no cart access inside Rekordbox. Playlists is the direction they are shoving it and if I could add to playlists from Crates it would save a step of having to manually sync carts to playlists!
23 votesBeatport Link is not currently supported by Beatport API’s, which is how we power Crates.
Only Beatport can integrate with anything related to Link right now, but hopefully they make their Link API public in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

highlight artists / labels followed differently in crates
Firstly love crates. Only recently discovered it after beatport discontinued their pro app for mac. Thanks for working this its great.
This may already be in place and I cannot find how to assert it yet but would be wonderful if the labels and artists one follows could be identified more easily within crates by maybe a different color font orotherwise
Beatport pro had this feature so I hope its doable with the API.

Settings option for endless & page feed view.
I liked the page view a bit better than endless. If you mute pre-orders and re-releases sometimes the endless "page" only has 5 songs. If you need to refresh the page then you need to click "load more" until you get to your previous position. I think an option for both views would be great!

Moods, Set Time, Venue, Vocal, etc
Want to find Dub Acid House/Techno to play at a bar? Disco/Jazzy House to play at a Pool? Melodic Leftfield House for a Sunrise set? These filters are the perfect way to do that.
Beatport Pro is being shut down, and that means losing an invaluable way to search music: based on Mood, Vocal, Venue, and Set Time. As far as I know, there's no other place where you can do that. When Beatport Pro sunsets, Crates could be the place people go for that feature alone.
Beatport Pro seems to have crowd-sourced these, so anyone can input the data…

Drag and Drop Feature
Hey guys,
Something I love about the Beatport Desktop program is that you can drag and drop tracks from one cart to another. Would love for this site to have this feature. It will save a lot of navigation time thru menus. Thanks!

Top 1000
I realize this would probably require a Beatport API change, but it would be totally awesome to be able to browse top 1000 instead of top 100 in a genre.
This is what crate digging is all about -- digging deeper! Especially useful for someone that just wants to dive deep into a totally new genre!

You have a floating rectangle a little north of the center of the page that has the potential to drive me insane if you don't remove it.
Some fixed position floating div, but I didn't look to deep at the dom to figure out what it was.
It persists through reloads, restarting browser, etc.

Drag and drop crate ordering
It would be great to be able to put together a playlist for a gig in a crate, in the order you may want to play the tracks in, and see if the tracks fit the way you want them to before checking out.
Also, it would be great to be able to sort by each column. Basically the rekordbox functions of sorting and drag/drop to reorder tracks.

Purchased history or My library
Cant find or add tracks to the new crates when they are purchased.
We need to see the purchased history or library so we can trace artists, labels, songs what we loved. In that way crates will be more accurate.
if we have to wait for the api update from beatport, in the meantime,
we can maybe try automatically add songs to one of the 'my crates' folder (or sync with my crates folder and carts), in that way we will save the loved songs before it gets checked out and gone.3 votes -
Crates.co android app.
Is there a crates.co android app or am I missing something? It would be super useful. It's quite tedious to navigate the site through the smartphone browser.

Highlighted/playing track in list is not distinct enough.
Maybe it's because I'm old and my vision isn't what it used to be, but I don't think the playing track in the current list is distinct enough... looking for the pause icon over the album art is too hard to pick out, especially if you aren't looking at the screen while advancing through tracks. (Plus, sometimes the playing track is actually off screen because the scrolling doesn't catch up or match where it should be.) Can you highlight the whole role with some negative color so it's glaringly obvious where you are in the list?

Currently the entire row goes orange if the track is playing (all the text goes orange). This way you can see what’s playing very easily across the whole table.
Does that help?

spotify
Add a Spotify search function similar to the YouTube one. I pay for Spotify and would love to hear a high resolution copy before buying.

Crates for Bandcamp
Crates.co has revolutionized my digging experience for digital music on beatport. I'm finding myself having to do parallel digging on bandcamp for a lot of non-beatport content though (an area growing more and more). I would love to see a crates for bandcamp—ideally it could show in my inbox feed, but even if it was a separate feed it would be huge. Right now the browsing experience for artists and labels I follow on Bandcamp is abysmal at best. I have to click in and out of releases and pages to hear the music, takes forever.
25 votesThanks for the kind words Ben! We’d love to integrate with Band Camp, but they don’t have an API for their music catalog.
(Crates is powered by Beatport’s API. If BandCamp adds an API for their catalog, then we can explore integration with them as well.)

Setup HTTPS using LetsEncrypt
Title says it all. Would be great to setup SSL/TLS and you can easily setup to auto-renew certs fairly easily. Better security on the web is always good.
